I am Alaa Kornah, a dedicated counselling therapist providing counselling services for both the Canadian and the Arab/Egyptian communities. I am originally from Egypt. I immigrated to Canada several years ago, bringing a wealth of cultural understanding and a passion for helping others.
I am a registered professional counsellor-candidate with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association; and a registered therapeutic counsellor-candidate with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists.
I hold a Counselling Therapist Private Practice Diploma from Stenberg College in British Columbia, where she underwent extensive training and practical experience. During my program, I completed 100 hours of practicum and received 20 hours of professional supervision, honing my skills and gaining valuable insights into the field of counseling.
As a professional counsellor, I am committed to providing ethical and effective counselling services to my clients. I employ a client-centred approach, tailoring my therapy sessions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. Drawing from evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, I help my clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve positive change and growth.
Passionate about fostering mental well-being within the Canadian and Arab/Egyptian communities, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Whether facing personal struggles or seeking personal growth, I am dedicated to empowering my clients to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
