Supporting Children, Teens & Young Adults
I help children, teens, and young adults build confidence, manage anxiety and OCD, regulate emotions, and improve executive functioning.
I also work closely with parents and caregivers to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate everyday challenges—creating a more connected and supportive home environment.
I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, Autism, and learning differences, and I bill directly to AFU.
Sessions are available:
Book a free 15-minute consultation by Zoom, phone, or in person to see if we’re a good fit.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before we begin. In our initial conversation, we’ll explore your child’s needs together and determine the most supportive approach. If it’s not immediately clear whether counselling or coaching is the better fit, that’s completely okay — I often integrate elements of both.
Sessions are always tailored to your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals. Rather than forcing a specific path, we allow your child to guide the process, ensuring the support they receive is meaningful, flexible, and truly effective.
Counselling helps children and teens work through emotional and social challenges such as anxiety, low confidence, family separation, or bullying. It provides a safe space to explore feelings and understand past or present difficulties.
Coaching is a more goal-focused and future-oriented approach. It’s ideal for young people who may feel unmotivated, stuck, or unsure of their direction, but aren’t necessarily dealing with emotional distress. Coaching helps them set goals, build confidence, and take action.
Some young people may feel more open to coaching, as it focuses on potential and personal growth, rather than emotional problems.
Counselling is often longer-term (3+ months)
Coaching is typically a shorter program (around 8 sessions)
Who I Work With
I work with a wide age range, offering tailored support based on each child or young person’s developmental stage and needs:
Children aged 4–11: I offer play therapy combined with engaging CBT-based animation programs to help children understand and manage their emotions in a developmentally appropriate way.
Tweens and teens aged 11–17: I use a blend of creative therapies (such as art, storytelling, and role-play) along with CBT-informed video content to support emotional awareness, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
Young adults aged 14–25: I offer life coaching focused on goal-setting, motivation, identity development, and navigating transitions such as school, relationships, or early career choices.
