Art therapy combines art-making and talk-therapy, providing a safe and creative outlet for exploring thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to express. If you or your child are finding life challenging, or would like to use art as a tool for self-care, we can work together to identify self-help skills that feel authentic and empowering.
I’m a certified Art Therapist and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), and have lived experience with ADHD. I greatly enjoy working with neurodivergent children and adults to help them feel seen, supported and celebrated. Our sessions will include art-making and optional talk-therapy.
If you are curious about art therapy or have questions about my approach, I offer a free 20-minute connection call where we can discuss your needs and goals, and decide whether this feels like the right step for you.
Rates vary, but sessions are typically billed by the hour and start at $130 for 60 mins. Sliding-scale options starting at $85 per hour may also be available— please reach out to learn more.
I don't offer direct billing, however as an RTC with ACCT, sessions may be reimbursed by insurance providers which have counselling coverage including Pacific Blue Cross and Sun Life.
Not at all. Art therapy is about the process, not the final product. You don’t need any art skills or experience—just a willingness to explore.
Every session looks different depending on your needs. You’ll have access to a variety of art materials, and you can choose to focus on making art, talking, or a mix of both.
