As a Registered Art Therapist and Counsellor I work with youth/adults who might be seeking a less traditional approach to healing. Perhaps we don't want to talk about it? It might feel more possible to come up alongside with marks or movement to explore, release and reframe in new ways. To be gentle and curious in our transformation.
Art Therapy uses creative expression to assist with connecting our inner and outer worlds. To bring into alignment that which might feel lost, to step into our bodies with felt sensations, to see and understand our thoughts, feelings or behaviours from fresh perspectives. To reach the places words can't go.
I believe in a client centred approach that meets you where you are at and be your ally as we travel together towards mutually agreed upon goals. You do not need any artistic skill beyond curiosity and an openness to try. It would be my honour to hold space and guide you into the amazing world of Art Therapy.
