About Me

“From shadows to light, I walk by your side — a journey within where your strength resides.” I am an Internationally Educated Psychologist and Psychotherapist, and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) in British Columbia, with more than 20 years of experience in mental health and holistic therapies. My work spans hospitals, schools, and private practice settings in India, as well as counselling roles in Canada. I specialize in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, grief, substance concerns, and complex family dynamics. My counselling style is holistic and client-centred — grounded in evidence-based approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and Narrative Therapy, while also integrating mindfulness, somatic awareness, and gentle experiential practices. When clients request it, I may draw on additional tools such as guided hypnotherapy, regression, or energy-based healing to support deeper emotional release. These practices are always optional, consent-based, and never a substitute for counselling foundations, but for many they open pathways to profound inner healing. Healing, for me, is not about fixing people — it is about walking beside them as they reconnect with who they truly are. I offer a space that is calm, steady, and deeply respectful, where clients feel held without judgment. I hold presence over pressure. My path began in India, where I worked in hospitals, schools, and private practice settings, supporting people through trauma, grief, chronic pain, and family conflicts. In Canada, I have worked as an STV Counsellor accompanying survivors of domestic violence, abandonment, and emotional abuse. These experiences taught me that healing asks for more than methods — it asks for presence, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. Counselling Approach My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and integrative. I draw on: Person-Centred Therapy CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Solution-Focused Therapy Narrative Therapy Alongside these, I use mindfulness, guided imagery, breathwork, somatic awareness, and — when clients are open — gentle regression or inner-child exploration. These practices are always optional, but many clients find they unlock deep release and fresh clarity. What Clients Say Clients often tell me that my greatest strength is my calm presence. I can sit with pain without rushing to fix it. I listen with empathy, sense unspoken emotions, and help clients put words to what they have carried silently. My sessions are not just talk; they are about building safety in the body, releasing stored emotions, and finding meaning again. Healing, for me, is not just about resolving problems — it is about guiding people back to themselves. Who I Work With I support: Adults facing anxiety, trauma, grief, and major life transitions Women navigating midlife shifts, identity loss, or chronic pain Immigrants and culturally diverse clients who seek understanding without having to explain themselves Scope & Boundaries I do not provide legal or forensic reports, ICBC/WorkSafe documentation, or diagnoses. My work is therapeutic, confidential, and client-focused. My hope is simple: to walk beside you through the shadows into light, and to remind you that even in the hardest seasons, your inner strength and light remain.
