I'm a counsellor (MTC), writer, and artist located in Port Alberni, who works with people of all ages. I specialize in working with youths and their families. Many of my clients have struggled with anxiety, depression, or trauma, and may have specific learning needs such as Autism or ADHD. I offer sessions in my home studio space, outdoors, and online, and am flexible about adapting to the needs of my clients. I am person-centered, and attachment-based and include artistic expression and play whenever appropriate and welcome. I like to include support for parents by way of psych education, when this is welcome. I am a wife, and mother of two neurodiverse young adults. I have learned much from my personal and professional experiences, and working with this demographic feels natural to me.
I also work with the adoptee and foster population. As a Late Discovery Adoptee myself, I understand some of the unique challenges we face, and enjoy being with others as they learn to navigate these.
I offer psych consultation to writers who are seeking assistance with character development, family dynamics, or other issues related to the human condition.
