About Me

As an art therapist, painter, and facilitator, I believe creativity can open doors to healing that words alone cannot. My practice offers a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences through both art and conversation, finding your own path toward resilience and growth. I work with people navigating loss, shame, trauma, identity struggles, and mental health challenges—including substance use. By blending traditional talk therapy with creative expression, I help clients access emotions and insights that may be difficult to reach verbally. Art therapy is not about producing “good” art—it’s about engaging with the creative process as a way to connect with yourself, discover meaning, and build resilience. Even simple marks on paper can help shift perspective, open up new awareness, and bring a sense of relief. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, compassion, and creativity. I hold a particular interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and in exploring the transformative power of witnessing in therapy—the healing that comes from being truly seen. I am a professional art therapist based in Vancouver with a background in figurative painting, art education, and community facilitation. Originally from Northern Ireland, I carry with me an awareness of the impacts of division, exclusion, and resilience, which informs my commitment to creating inclusive and supportive spaces. Alongside my private practice, I lead workshops, retreats, and community-based art projects focused on healing, connection, and creative expression.
