Counselling chose me after twenty years working alongside people in transition, conflict, and growth. What I kept finding was that beneath most struggle is someone carrying more than they were ever shown how to hold. This work is about learning to hold it.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship patterns, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm, offering online sessions across Vancouver and British Columbia. My approach is grounded, trauma-informed, and collaborative, drawing on an integrative mix of parts work, attachment-informed practice, family of origin work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Sessions are a space to stay with what is present, understand it, and find a way through that feels real. This space is open to people across a range of identities and relationships, including BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ2S+ clients.

I trained at Rhodes Wellness College and hold the designation of Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (Candidate), RTCc (Member #4149), through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.

Q What happens in the free consultation?

It's a genuine conversation, not a sales call. We talk about what's bringing you to therapy, how I work, and you get a real sense of whether this feels like the right fit. From there, whether to continue is entirely your call.

Q Do I need to be in crisis to see a therapist?

No. Many people come to therapy not because something has broken down, but because something has gone quiet, a flatness, a sense of being stuck, or a feeling that there is more available. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

Q Can couples therapy help if only one of us wants to come?

Full engagement from everyone involved tends to produce the most meaningful results, but one person feeling uncertain at the start is completely normal. The free consultation is a good place to explore where each of you is starting from.

Q What do RTCc mean?

RTCc stands for Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (Candidate), a designation through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). It means my training and practice are held to ACCT's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and that there's a professional body clients can turn to with questions or concerns about their counselling experience. Many extended health benefit providers also recognize this designation for reimbursement; more on that below.

Q Does my extended health plan cover your sessions?

Coverage varies by provider and plan, so it's worth checking directly with your benefits provider before booking, using the designation RTCc. I provide receipts for all sessions, in whatever format your provider requires.

Q What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling of paid sessions. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency. The free consultation has no cancellation fee.

Q Is what I share confidential?

Yes, with a few limits required by law. What you share stays between us, except in situations involving risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else, suspected harm to a child, or a court order. These exceptions are rare, and I'll always aim to talk with you first if one becomes relevant. Everything else stays private.
