You may look like you’re holding it together, but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or far from yourself. Maybe you keep putting everyone else first, reacting in ways you don’t like, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up. You may even understand where some of this comes from and still find yourself repeating it.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, disconnection, anger, resentment, low self-worth, boundaries, and old patterns that keep getting in the way. In relationships, you may care deeply about each other but feel stuck in the same fight, more like roommates than partners, or unsure how to repair what has happened. I also work with men who want to better understand anger, shutdown, emotions, and relationship patterns, and I offer discernment counselling for couples who are unsure whether to work on the relationship or separate.

Therapy with me is part conversation, part problem-solving, and part gently uncovering what’s underneath it all. We’ll get curious about the emotions, needs, old beliefs, and protective strategies that keep showing up, while building practical tools for communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, and change.

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment work, relational somatic therapy, parts work (IFS), family systems, and other experiential approaches. You don’t need to have the right words or have it all figured out. There’s room for all of you here.

I’m a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor offering in-person counselling in Nanaimo and online counselling throughout British Columbia. I work with adults 18+ and couples, and offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
