As a mental health practitioner focusing in Trauma-Informed ADHD Counselling, my mission is to guide individuals in the exploration and resolution of life challenges stemming from ADHD, Autism with ADHD (AuDHD), and Autism spectrum conditions.
Whether you are seeking assistance for yourself or a cherished family member, my expertise lies in facilitating the mending of fractured life connections, ultimately fostering the growth and fortification of interpersonal bonds. Central to this process is the cultivation of effective communication skills, enabling individuals to discern unmet needs and engage in meaningful dialogue without the need for defensiveness.
Living with ADHD/AuDHD can often prove to be an exasperating and overwhelming experience. Frequently, misconceptions abound, with others erroneously attributing traits such as laziness, disorganization, a lack of motivation, or apathy to individuals grappling with these neurological wiring patterns. It is crucial to recognize that ADHD is not a matter of choice; rather, it is rooted in the intricacies of neurological functioning.
Have you traversed a challenging journey marked by toxic relationships, traumatic experiences, abuse, profound loss, grief, or emotional upheaval in your life? Do you find yourself grappling with the complexities and frustrations associated with ADHD/AuDHD?

ADHD Is not an attitude or a chosen lifestyle. It's not something that can "be fixed" by just trying harder. ADHD is a neurological difference that is thought to possibly be hereditary. Telling someone with ADHD to "try harder" to focus, apply themselves, be organized is like telling a person in a wheelchair to "try harder" to walk.
There are practices, skills and lifestyle changes you can make to help your symptoms be more manageable, relationships easier to navigate and have a more enjoyable life
No. If anything, studies show that only 10-12 % of adults either know or get treatment for ADHD.. IF anything this puts them at higher risk of illness, depression, accidents , additions and other things as well.
If it was blown out of proportion of over diagnosed, chances are it wouldn't be in the DSM-5
