I support people facing grief, past trauma, abuse, relationship challenges, depression, and addiction, on their path to developing greater insight and better coping strategies for healing. Grief is a process that clients sometimes find themselves “stuck” in. Maybe their coping strategies are no longer serving them. Developing relational intimacy with others, and more compassionate communication with self is a big part of the work I do with individuals and family. Together we find solutions for moving through difficult challenges, and improving well-being so clients can connect with their most authentic selves.
I’m a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in private practice, and accepting new clients. In person sessions (COVID protocols in effect), by phone, email, Zoom. I practice trauma informed CBT with a mindfulness toward abuse, intergenerational family trauma, and grief. Narrative Therapy and writing are optional methodologies for working through grief, inviting spiritual awareness, and recovering self.
Our sessions provide a safe and caring environment for the expression of challenges, thoughts and feelings. It’s important to me that I help clients identify the power within themselves to overcome loss, trauma, negative thought and behavior patterns, and to become a stronger, and happier.
