I work with immigrants (teenagers and adults) to help them understand, prevent and overcome emotional distress or dysfunctional in order to promote well-being and personal development.
I work with concepts of Liberation Psychology and Radical Therapy, which takes into consideration the impacts of social marginalization, oppression, xenophobia and prejudice against immigrants when dealing with mental health. This helps to take the focus of distress and pain from the individual and makes it possible to evaluate how the social context impacts your well being and operates to sustain an oppressed person.
