I have been an organizational sustainability practitioner and social performance consultant since 1996. It was through this work – specifically engaging with a wide range of stakeholders – where I developed an increasing interest in the health, well-being, and performance of individuals (and the importance of the strength of each individual in the organizational context). This passion led me to add relevant credentials to my toolkit and I became a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in early 2020.
The foundation of my work with clients is the belief in human potential; that individuals have the capacity and resources within themselves for insight, growth, transformation, and healing. I recognize that the person you are today has been influenced by a lifespan of past experiences and environments, which have undoubtedly affected how you view yourself, relationships, and the world, and impact how you function in your everyday life.
I have a relaxed, yet professional, counselling style and work alongside adults and adolescents on an individual or group basis. Through my private counselling practice, my main focus areas include Sustainable Self-Care, anxiety, loss and bereavement (with a special interest in loss in childhood or adolescence), life transitions, and pathways to increased happiness and fulfillment. I work with clients on a 1-1 basis, facilitate support groups, courses, and workshops, and specialize in custom-designed narrative therapy techniques to explore important life themes.
