I’m located in Stony Plain, and I’ve been fortunate to share my life with my partner for over 32 years. My journey of supporting individuals through grief began in 2008. Over the years, I’ve pursued university training in Grief Recovery, Trauma Recovery, Suicide Intervention, and Life Coaching, alongside consistent learning in various traditions from around the world.
In 2022, I completed Somatic Experiencing Training and became a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I’m grateful to assist and support the training in Somatic Experiencing under the guidance of Faculty Linda Stelte and Berns Galloway.
My work in Somatic Experiencing inspired me to pursue a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counseling, specializing in Professional Counseling, which I completed in May 2023.
My partner and I have made our home in the Tri-region for 25 years, sharing it with our two Yorkies. As a mother of four and grandmother of eight, family holds a special place in my heart.
Facilitating a Bereavement support group that meets monthly in the Town of Stony Plain is one of the ways I give back to my community. Additionally, I’m part of a Tri-region Grief Collaborative aimed at providing accessible support to grieving individuals in our area.
My focus on developmental trauma guides my scope of practice, which revolves around grief and trauma for individuals and families. I’m deeply passionate about helping others develop self-love and the resources they need to thrive in both their personal and professional lives. We’ve all experienced moments of disconnection from ourselves, and walking alongside individuals on their journey back to themselves is where I find my greatest fulfillment.
